PATHWAYS
Create Your Pathway to a Future in STEM
Parents
Every day, life science companies in Maryland create cutting edge innovations that improve the lives of people around the world. These companies require some of the most in-demand skills and careers available today. The life science industry provides outstanding opportunities for an exciting, fulfilling, secure, and well-paying future for those who choose to work in the field. Among the many possibilities are jobs in engineering, science, mathematics, manufacturing, and business operations.
If your child is interested in pursuing a career in life sciences, it’s important to help them chart their course towards their dream job. That means selecting the right STEM classes to take in high school, and likely pursuing a degree in a relevant subject area. Creating such a roadmap to success is where BioHub Maryland Pathways comes in – we provide resources for students of all ages to research and plan their futures in life sciences.
Our Dream Jobs tool allows anyone to search for a career title and view the skills and knowledge required for the job, estimated future job demand, salary range, and more. Dream Jobs even suggests similar or related positions to help users expand their search and find a career they may not have thought of. Knowing what skills you need to have is crucial when creating a plan to attain the job of your dreams.
The Programs section of our website provides lists of training resources, community college and university STEM education in Maryland, as well as tips and advice on how to pay for college.
The Internships page is filled with links to internship programs for students of all education levels, the BioHub Maryland Job Board is constantly being updated with available job openings, and our events page provides links to upcoming life science career fairs.
