Building and Inspiring the Life Sciences Talent and Workforce Pipeline
Maryland’s economic growth and productivity depend on the success of businesses that operate in the state. As a way to create a business-friendly environment, the state offers both federal and state tax credits that will help employers reduce their cost of operating. Federal tax credits are offered through the Work Opportunity Tax Credit while several state tax credits exist through the Enterprise Zone Tax Credit, Maryland Disability Employment Tax Credit, and the Hire Our Veterans Tax Credit.
Visit the Maryland Department of Labor to learn more about tax credits for employers: https://www.dllr.state.md.us/employment/taxcreditintroduction.shtml
The State of Maryland also offers several workforce development and training grants through several different departments: https://businessexpress.maryland.gov/grow/workforce/workforce-training-grants
