Senior Pharmacy Technician Supervisor

Job Summary

Correct Rx Pharmacy seeks a dedicated and experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to be a key member of our leadership team. This position reports directly to our Vice President of Operations.

The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards, while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Supervision

• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, promoting professional growth and development.
• Oversee scheduling, task delegation, and workload distribution to ensure efficient operations.

Operational Management

• Ensure accurate preparation, labeling, and distribution of medication following established procedures.
• Maintain inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and tracking supplies.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with pharmacists to complete final verification duties.
• Address and resolve issues related to technician performance or workflow.

Quality Assurance and Training

• Implement quality assurance initiatives to ensure operational excellence.
• Develop and deliver training programs for new and current staff.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current and active Maryland Pharmacy Technician Registration
• Current and active PTCB CPhT or CPhT-Adv Certification
• Minimum of three years of experience as a pharmacy technician, with supervisory experience.
• Willing to embrace an active product verification training course.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including inventory management and medication preparation.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in pharmacy data entry and automation management software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and efficiency.
