I: Job Summary

Senior Maintenance Planner and Scheduler is responsible for the strategic planning and scheduling of calibration and maintenance activities, as well as oversight of spare parts inventory within a GxP-regulated environment. The successful candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented self-starter who thrives as part of a diverse, high-performing team. This individual maintains exceptional attention to detail in a dynamic environment and demonstrates strong expertise in planning and scheduling calibration and maintenance activities, as well as managing spare parts. The role requires the ability to effectively manage complex schedules and anticipate risks to support uninterrupted operations. Maintains a positive attitude while upholding company standards of professionalism and accountability.

II: Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning and scheduling internal calibration and maintenance activities with technicians, internal customers, and management to minimize operational disruption.
• Duties and responsibilities are carried out independently within the framework of established policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Proficient in Blue Mountain RAM R4, ensuring alignment of maintenance, calibration, and asset management activities.
• Prepares and maintains detailed maintenance and calibration schedules aligned with internal operational priorities.
• Utilizes RAM R4 analytical tools to generate reports and metrics to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Reviews trends impacting production or asset reliability and escalates deficiencies to management while proactively identifying improvement opportunities.
• Coordinates with appropriate personnel regarding service agreements and approved vendors.
• Assists in the evaluation of calibration and maintenance vendors for quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Schedules and coordinates the external calibrations, ensuring timely shipment, vendor execution, documentation receipt, and return-to-service in accordance with Metrology Program requirements.
• Coordinates preventive maintenance and repair activities with approved vendors.
• Escorts vendors, or coordinates vendor escorts with the applicable SME, and ensures services are executed to completion with proper documentation.
• Collaborates with area management to plan activities and resource allocation associated with scheduled plant outages.
• Maintains prescribed spare parts inventory levels within RAM R4.
• Procures spare parts from approved suppliers and submits new vendor requests as needed.
• Works cross-functionally with Engineering, Facilities, and Metrology personnel to ensure availability of materials required to support calibration and maintenance activities.
• Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to resolve issues and support optimal operational outcomes.
• Participates in required training and maintains compliance with site safety and quality requirements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

III: Education, Experience & Skills

• 6+ years of scheduling/planning experience.
• 1+ years of pharmaceutical or GMP industry planning and scheduling.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical equipment, facilities, calibrations, and maintenance is required.
• Blue Mountain RAM R4 experience required.
• Experience within a spare parts program/MRO preferred.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products.
• Just have excellent written and oral communication abilities, as well as good decision-making skills.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 – $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
