The Process Development Services team partners with innovators across the cell therapy and EV space to design, optimize, and scale robust manufacturing processes. RoosterBio is seeking a
Scientist II / Senior Scientist
to join the Process Development Services team and manage external customer projects. This position is well suited for a Ph.D.-level scientist with process development industry experience who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer projects in cell and extracellular vesicle manufacturing, balancing technical objectives, timelines, and cost.
  • Design, execute, and interpret process development experiments supporting customer programs.
  • Identify opportunities for bioprocess improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external customers.
  • Author technical reports and present results to customers. Assist in drafting proposals for new customers.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation, reports, and records in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Stay current with scientific literature, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline is required.
  • 2–8 years of industry experience in process development and/or manufacturing support, with demonstrated leadership of process development or manufacturing-related projects or initiatives, is required.
  • Experience with cell therapy and/or extracellular vesicle–based products is preferred.
  • Experience working in a process development services organization or receiving unit, supporting externally defined programs, is preferred.
  • Experience in technology transfer and/or working with contract manufacturing organizations is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Proven ability to independently design experiments, analyze data, and translate results into process improvements is required.
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the U.S. for other than practical training.
  • Occasional weekend and off-hours work will be required to support cell culture.
