I: Job Summary

MRO Material Specialist is responsible for the efficient management of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) materials to support operational readiness and equipment reliability. This role ensures accurate inventory tracking, timely procurement, and optimal stock levels within SAP to achieve on-time results. A self-starter who is part of an effective and diverse team. Maintains high attention to detail while working in a dynamic environment. Maintains a positive attitude while upholding company standards of professionalism and accountability.

II: Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with all applicable departments to populate, manage, and maintain inventory material for both process and utility equipment within SAP.
  • Create and maintain material master data in SAP to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to monitor stock levels and reorder points.
  • Create purchase requisitions and initiate procurement activities in SAP to prevent material shortages. Process and track material orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, or invoices. Communicate status updates and delays to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, order status, and usage trends. Present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Implement process improvements in the management of MRO materials.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration during shutdown planning, including activity scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Participate in instrumentation reliability initiatives.
  • Interact effectively with peers, technicians, internal customers, and management to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Seek to improve the overall function of the department by anticipating problems and initiating appropriate actions to eliminate them. Review trends affecting production schedules and escalate deficiencies to management.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in process, quality, safety, and efficiency; actively contribute to implementation efforts.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with site policies and regulatory requirements.

III: Education, Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years of MRO program experience.
  • 1+ years of pharmaceutical or GMP industry scheduling/planning, or related field.
  • Must be proficient in SAP MM (Material Management) module.
  • Must have understanding of inventory management and procurement practices.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication abilities, as well as good decision-making skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour
